We Americans are running out of folks to kill for oil! The Canadians are supposed to have at least 2 equivalents of Saudi Arabia in their tar sands and welcome us to take it in exchange for a few jobs! Catch is: It costs a fortune to recover! Needs a Nuclear reactor on site to make heat to melt the damn stuff and wash the sand out of it! Without oil America does not exist! We are oil! Jet planes, cars, ships, military forces, – all need oil! Bicycle paths are cute concessions by the powerful majority – lip service to the fools among us! Small plastic bodied two seater tandem electric cars are next! but will only last a short while, until we fine another place to extract sweet crude in the world and drive Corvettes with 600 hp engines and Cadillacs with the new 700 hp engines again! Afghanistan, traversed in conquest by our soldiers, leads to the Turkmenistan and Chinese-claimed oil fields but don’t let that fact deter you, for as I have come to realize – no sweet crude – no Yankee Doodle! The 21st Century is already a setup for the American Quest for sweet crude in the world! Easiest fields first, Canada’s oil only when we have to.(Messy stuff, dammit!)
