What is ridiculous is that the parents are the ones who allow this to happen... I get so sad whenever I see overweight children. It is bad enough that so many of us adults are overweight, yes I am overweight, probably even considered obese on a doctor scale; but my children are not. But it is just downright irresponsible to not try to keep our children healthy. Why give them such a bad start in life? All it takes is some motivation, effort, discipline, and seeking of knowledge to be healthier. Is that too much to give to our children? Now it's the status quo to OWN a road bike (not actually ride it). But what inspires kids? When the xGames first hit main stream, there was a surge in teen skating & BMX, but what inspires, or encourages younger kids to enjoy riding a bike? besides mom & dad? here’s another thought to add:
people (& kids) mimick what they see, or feel inspired by.
